It looks like this will probably be the very last of my picture uploads for this year. I hope you've enjoyed getting just a peek at how we spend our days at camp. We had such a great week at camp. Daisy kept up busy with secret agent training missions like code breaking, observations, a challenge course, white water(a group cooperative game), black light where we got to use black lights to hunt for clues, and finally do some target practice. Evey completed mission gave us two numbers and after all of the numbers were collected we all got a chance to open Daisy's secret agent briefcase for a very cool secret agent kit. Unit F(foxtrot) was the very first group of agents to complete the missions, crack the code and open the briefcase! When we weren't busy completing missions we sang camp songs with Chipper, got to cook some amazing food with Cookie including, pancakes, spaghetti, fruit ka-bobs, cheese cake, s'mores, and stone soup. We also learned about fingerprints and made some amazing finger print art, and got to try on secret agent disguises with Sketch and Tweezers. We played games with Ooke and made I spy bags and some very cool para-cord bracelets with Teddy Bear and Jules. Every unit at camp had a chance to do either an opening or closing flag ceremony and some of us even found time for water play which was very much needed on Monday and Tuesday. All in all it was a wonderful week at Sky River day camp and I can't wait until we do it all again next year. Until then check out a few pictures. I'll keep posting more through out the next week. Dot. Friday flew by and we were so busy at Sky River day camp cleaning and packing up that I had no time to post on the blog. If your camper came home without something like a hat, water bottle maybe a lunch box please email [email protected] and let me know what you're missing. The pictures below are all of the things that were left at camp and are unclaimed. I also have hundreds of pictures that were taken throughout the week to sort through and post. I'm in the process now of getting the best ones edited and uploaded. For now check out the lost and found pictures below. Can you believe that Sky River day camp is almost over? What a week we've had! Today almost all of our secret agents completed their training and were able to crack the code and open Daisy's briefcase. Pictures of the briefcase reveals will come tomorrow after everyone in camp has had a chance. We don't want to spoil the surprise. So many fun things happened at camp today it's almost not possible to list them all. Take a look at the pictures below to get just a peek at some of them and then of course check back tomorrow for even MORE pictures from the whole week. It's hard to believe that it's Wednesday already. The week is flying by. We had another great day at camp, singing, cooking, playing games and completing missions. There were so many great pictures to choose from I couldn't decide on just a few so there's quite a slide show to see today. Tomorrow's will be even better. Snack for tomorrow is cheese sticks and granola bars. Permission slips that went out to 6th grade and up need to be returned to Scrappy tomorrow. Please check your email for more details. We had another amazing day at Sky river day camp. More missions were completed, secret codes were decoded, we learned about finger prints in science with Tweezers and Sketch, some of us cooked cheese cake in a dutch oven, and sang songs with Chipper in music. The fox farm with full of laughter and smiles. Tomorrow is only Wednesday but some of our secret agents are so close to cracking the code on Daisy's locked briefcase. Tomorrow's snack will be pepperoni and crackers. We will have gluten free crackers available. Today's snack is gold fish crackers and cheddar cheese.
Don't forget your sunscreen today it's going to be another HOT day! Check back here today at 8pm to see pictures from today. We had a great Monday at Sky River day camp! All of our secret agents started their training with a code breaking mission. We spent the day perfecting our disguises, dodging lasers, and some of us even had time for some cooking. Now we are getting ready to do it all over again tomorrow. It is supposed to be very hot again tomorrow so please make sure your camper brings sunscreen with them to camp. We had more then one camper arrive at camp without sunscreen today and sun screen is not something we have at camp to share with your camper. Two full waters bottles are another must. While it's tempting to send your camper with a giant bottle of water it's hard for them to have to lug that around camp with them where ever they go. Two medium bottles are much more manageable for girls then one giant bottle. Remember our gates open in the morning at 9:15 and it is unsafe to park on the sides of the road. Camp is the one time where it's better to be a little late. If you plan to be at camp at 9:20 you'll be able to drive right in and not have to wait on the road. The last thing we want is to start our day at camp with an accident. Gates open in the afternoon at 3:45. Can you believe it? Sky River day camp starts tomorrow! We have an amazing week planned and can't wait to get started.
Camp starts tomorrow at 9:30 am and our gates will open at 9:15 am so please don't arrive before then. If you find yourself arriving early to camp and the gate is still closed please please please don't park on the side of the road to wait. We are close to Lord's hill park which is a great place to hang out while you wait for the gates to open. Remember your camper will be extra hungry at camp so make sure you pack an extra big lunch for them complete with TWO full water bottles. Campers also are asked to take their lunch trash back home with them so keep that in mind when packing messy items in lunches. Sometimes packing an extra ziplock bag can save a lunch box. Tomorrow is supposed to be very hot again and at camp we spend a lot of our day playing in the sun. It's important to have your camper apply sunscreen before they get to camp and then make sure they have sunscreen to apply while they are at camp. We have a fair amount of allergies at camp this year and while we would like to accommodate them all, it's simply not possible AND still be able to provide snack to everyone. Tomorrow our snacks at camp are hard boiled eggs and pretzels. We do have gluten free pretzels to offer for campers who have a gluten allergy. I will post our snacks for the day here on the blog every day so please be sure to check it. If you have questions please email [email protected] or Call Michelle at (425)870-7299 See you all tomorrow! Dot. |
