We offer several teen leadership programs at Sky River Day Camp. Teens who are entering 7th grade in the fall can join our LiA program and earn their Leader in Action award. 8th graders can take part in our PAIT or Program Aide in Training program and 9th-12th graders who have completed their PAIT at Sky River Day Camp can join our PA or Program Aide program. In order to be accepted into any of our teen leadership programs, teens must submit an application before registering.
L.i.A. Girls who are going into 7th grade are eligible to join our amazing “LiA” program. LiAs (pronounced Leah) will earn their Girl Scout Leader in Action award which is required before girls can earn their P.A. (program aid) award. LiAs will spend their week at camp building on their strengths and identifying their weaknesses. They will work together as a team and learn to support each other to be the best Girl Scout leader they can be. Application does not guarantee acceptance into the L.i.A. program.
As of April 2nd our 7th grade LIA unit is full and we can not accept any more registrations. If you are interested in being put on a wait list please email [email protected]
P.A.I.T PAIT (Program Aid In Training) is for girls 8th grade and above who have not been a PA(Program Aid) previously at Sky River Day Camp. Each morning you will spend 1.5 hours with Scrappy our PA coordinator for PA training specific for Sky River Day Camp. In the afternoon you will travel to activity sessions and assist with a younger unit. During your unit time you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge of games, songs and friendship while expanding your leadership skills. If you have previously completed your LIA award you will receive your PA award at the end of the week. P.A. PA or program aide program is for girls entering 9th grade or above who have completed the PAIT program at Sky River day camp. If you're interested in applying for our PAIT or PA program please follow the link below and fill out the form. Application does not guarantee acceptance into the PAIT/PA program.
